Which plumbing upgrades are genuinely worth it during a bathroom remodel?
We’re mid bathroom remodel and the plumber keeps suggesting extras now that the walls are open, and I’m trying to work out which ones are actually worth it versus which are just convenient for him. He mentioned a pressure balancing valve, individual shut off valves and replacing some of the old pipework, but I’ve no idea which of those I’d actually notice or appreciate day to day. I read a Kitchen and Bath Company of Palo Alto plumbing upgrade guide and it did help me separate the essentials from the nice to haves, but I’d rather hear from people who’ve lived with these decisions. Which upgrades did you add and actually notice a difference from? And did anyone regret spending on something that turned out to be pointless once the work was finished?
