The first time I took the Explosives Station seriously, my runs got a whole lot calmer. Not easier, just calmer. When you’ve got a plan for what to craft, you stop panic-looting and start hunting what you actually need. That’s why I keep a mental checklist of ARC Raiders Items before I even step out—because upgrading this bench isn’t “nice to have”, it’s how you control fights instead of reacting to them.

Tier 1 habits that pay off

    1) Get Rubber Parts. Industrial corners are your friend: dusty factories, service tunnels, those cramped maintenance rooms nobody wants to clear. Open every tool cabinet. Don’t overthink it. 2) Get ARC Alloy by scrapping smaller ARC units. It feels slow at first, but it’s consistent, and consistency matters in early progression. Once Tier 1 is done, you can craft basics like gas grenades and impact grenades. They won’t delete big targets, but they buy space, break pushes, and keep you from getting boxed in by trash mobs.

Tier 2 farming without wasting a whole night

Tier 2 asks for 3 Synthesized Fuel, 5 Crude Explosives, and 5 Pop Triggers, and this is where a lot of people start wandering. Don’t. Go Spaceport, Rocket Assembly. You’ll quickly notice how many lockers and heavy crates are packed into that area, and it’s not subtle. I usually climb up into the upper framework first, because Synthesized Fuel tends to sit inside those vehicle-like machines and tucked bays up top. Then I sweep downward and just vacuum lockers until I’m full. If the run’s quiet, you can finish the whole list in one go; if it’s hot, grab fuel first and leave.

Tier 3 materials and the one drop that fights back

Tier 3 wants Laboratory Reagents, Explosive Compounds, and Rocketeer Drivers. Reagents are quickest in Buried City, Piazza Arbusto—hit the pharmacy, check the counters, don’t hang around like you own the place. Explosive Compounds are more of a loop: rotate Hydroponic Complex and Water Treatment Center, because both have that mix of lockers and lab storage where the good chemicals show up. The Rocketeer Driver is the annoying part. It’s not loot, it’s a kill. You have to down a Rocketeer ARC unit, and they punish sloppy peeks. Bring your own crafted explosives, stagger them, force a reset, then finish clean.

    What maxing the station changes

Once the station’s topped out, you stop saving grenades “for later” and start building your loadout around them. Advanced mines can lock down angles, heavy grenades crack armour, and fights that used to drag turn into quick trades you actually control. It’s still a grind, sure, but it’s the kind that makes every future raid cheaper and safer—especially when you’re pairing explosives with your ARC Raiders weapons instead of relying on raw gunplay alone.
